Contri is run by Oh-Jay, an independent developer in Nigeria. This page says what Contri collects, what it never collects, and what anyone can see on the blockchain. The code that does all of this is open source, so you can check it.

What we never collect

What stays on your device

What passes through our server

The app asks Contri's server to read the blockchain, to submit your signed payments, and to get deposit addresses from NEAR Intents' 1Click service. Our server does not log or store these requests, your IP address or your accounts. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may keep standard technical logs for security for a short time.

When you top up or cash out, 1Click receives the amount, the network and the receiving address you enter. It never receives your name or contact details from us.

What is public on the blockchain

Contri's contract keeps its rules and its money in the open so nobody has to trust a collector. Anyone can see each circle's amount, schedule, seats, payments, payouts and deposits. Members appear only as account numbers. Each circle you join uses a separate account derived from your passkey, so your circles can't be linked to each other or to you. A circle's name is stored encrypted and can only be read with its invite link.

Your circle's members see what ajo members always see: who is in, who has paid, and who received the pot.

Your choices

You can stop using Contri at any time and cash out your balance. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to delete. Clearing your browser removes everything Contri kept on your device. Records on the blockchain can't be deleted by anyone.
