Terms of use
Last updated 5 November 2026.
These terms apply when you use the Contri website and app. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use Contri.
What Contri is
Contri is software that helps people who know each other run a rotating savings circle (ajo, esusu, susu). Money is held and paid out by a smart contract on the NEAR blockchain, not by Contri or any person. Contri is not a bank, lender, investment product or money transmitter, and doesn't hold your money.
New, experimental software
Contri was built in November 2026 and is new. It may have bugs. Smart contracts, NEAR, NEAR Intents and the networks you send from can fail or change. Only put in money you can afford to lose, and start with small amounts.
Your responsibilities
- You must be 18 or older and allowed to use stablecoins where you live.
- Keep your passkey, or your recovery code if you use one, safe. Nobody, including us, can recover your key or move your money for you.
- Check networks and addresses before you send. Money sent on the wrong network or to the wrong address may be lost.
- Only join circles with people you trust. A deposit covers a missed payment, but it can't make a member pay every round.
- Don't use Contri for anything illegal, including fraud, money laundering or evading sanctions.
Fees
Contri charges no fee. Network and conversion fees for topping up and cashing out are set by NEAR Intents and the networks you use, and are shown before you send.
No warranty
Contri is provided as is, without any warranty. To the extent the law allows, Contri's developer is not liable for any loss of money, data or profit from using it, including losses caused by bugs, other members, third-party services or network failures.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. The contract's rules for a circle can't be changed once the circle has started.
